Buddy Greene

Larry AJ “Buddy” Greene age 87 of Alpharetta, GA, formerly of Snellville, GA, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Thomas and O’Bena (Moon) Greene; his loving wife of 57 years, Ruth Key Greene; and beloved son-in-law, Dr. Alan D. Clark. Buddy is survived by his daughter, Lujene G. Clark of Alpharetta; grandson, Devon Clark of Alpharetta; sisters and brothers, Euthemia Juhan (Leon) of Braselton, Jean Tanner of Grayson, Rex M. Greene of Grayson and William P. Greene of Grayson; numerous nieces and nephews as well as other beloved family members.

Born in Loganville, Walton County, Georgia, Buddy was the son of Hoyt Thomas and O’Bena (Moon) Greene. He served in the U. S. Army in Germany from 1953 to 1955. On May 18, 1956 he married Ruth Key in Snellville. He began his career as a welder and metal fabricator at Southern Cross Industries prior to his military service, and continued with that company, which was later acquired by Leggett and Platt, Inc., until his retirement. He was an avid NASCAR fan, recalling his pastime as a racecar driver in his early years.

The Funeral Service to Celebrate and Honor the Life of Larry AJ “Buddy” Greene will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel. Minister Harold Savage will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at Eternal Hill Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
