Wilma J. Davis, age 80, of Galena, Kansas passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on July 17, 1935 to William T. Smith and Edith M. (Wiley) Smith. Wilma was a homemaker.
She married Carl F. Davis and he preceded her in death on November 27, 1994. Wilma is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Porter and husband Kenneth of Galena, Kansas, Betty Davis of Pittsburg, Kansas, David Davis of Mindenmines, Missouri; siblings, Carl Smith and wife Shirley of Fairland, Oklahoma, Millie Dickerson of Joplin, Linda Gibson and husband Ronnie of Webb City; Sonnie Dooley of Joplin; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Southern Care Hospice in her memory.
