Bobby Ray, 81, Neosho, died December 19, 2015 at his home.
He was born April 4, 1934 in Draper, North Carolina, the son of James and Clara Ray. Bobby served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 27 years. Following that he worked for the U.S. Post Office in Neosho for 17 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 163, the V.F.W. and the Air Force Sergeants Association.
Bobby married Etta Bryant, and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Leroy (Jean) Davies of Crescent City, CA, Renada (Donnie) Brandt of Plattsmouth, NE and Jan (John) Hurn of Neosho; two sisters, Kathleen Meeks and twin, Joann Harris, both of Draper, NC; four grandchildren, Jordan Brandt, Evan Brandt, Ryan Hurn and Bailey Hurn; and one great granddaughter, Arianna Showler. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.L. and a sister, Audrey.
