Loretta Hendrix

Loretta May Hendrix, 72, passed away at her home in Carthage, December 13, 2015, 

Loretta was born December 25, 1942 in Carthage, MO to the late Coy Mitchell and Mildred Flippo of Carthage. She was a lifetime Carthage resident and was a homemaker. 

Loretta was united in marriage to James Hendrix Sr. June 1, 1958 in Sarcoxie, Missouri, he preceded her in death September 30, 2007. Loretta is survived by her mother Mildred Flippo of Carthage, and seven children, four daughters Ellen Poage of Joplin, MO., Connie Hendrix of Edmond, OK., Marsha Hendrix of Carthage, and Ronda Hakala of Carthage. And three sons James Hendrix Jr. of Carthage, Michael Hendrix of Duquesne, and Gary Mitchell of Sarcoxie, one sister Carolyn Barlow and one brother Rex Mitchell both of Carthage, nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Loretta is preceded by her dad Coy Mitchell, her husband James Hendrix Sr. one daughter Lisa Hendrix (passed November 27. 1965), and one brother “Gene” Coy Mitchell.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday December 17, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home, Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday December 16, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
