Carolyn Ford

Carolyn S. Ford, age 56, of Monett, MO, went on to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday morning, August 22, 2020 at her home in Monett while holding her loving husband’s hand.

Carolyn was born on August 13, 1964 in Bethesda, Maryland, the daughter of the late Charles and Jeanette (Turk) Willis. She has three siblings, Michael Willis, Cathy Willis and James Willis.

Carolyn graduated from Pierce City High School Class of 1982 and worked at the garment factory before attending college. She attended Bible College in Lakeland, FL, then she came back to Missouri to attend Evangel University. She later attended Missouri Southern State University while working with the Teen Challenge organization.

On August 1990, Carolyn was working at George’s, where she met her husband James Ford. They fell in love and were soon married on October 18, 1990. They went on to have two children, Brittany and Brandon. 








Carolyn had a passion for working with children and she was a teacher’s assistant/ substitute for the Pierce City and Aurora School Districts before becoming ill with Huntington’s Chorea.

Carolyn is described by her loved ones as, soft spoken, giving, smart, hard working and fun-loving. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and taking vacations. She loved church functions and family holidays. She took her camera everywhere and enjoyed capturing memories. Carolyn was a talented crafter and scrapbooker. She liked making things that everyone could enjoy. Carolyn had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed goofing off and pulling practical jokes on people (like pouring glitter all over her sister’s house). Carolyn was fun to be around. Carolyn was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, James; one son, Brandon James Ford of Monett; one daughter, Brittany Nicole Martin and husband Tim of Holden, MO; three grandchildren, Connor Fasone, Xavier Ray and Tucker Martin; one brother, James Wilfred Willis of Seneca, MO; one sister, Cathy Willis of Seneca, MO and a host of extended family and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael Willis.

Funeral services for Carolyn will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Kackley will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Monett.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
