Virginia Morgan

Virginia S. Morgan age 75 of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Freeman Hospital, in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on August 29, 1944 in Seneca, Missouri the daughter of Lee Porter & Theresa Bowers Forrest.

She worked as nurse’s aide for Miami Baptist Hospital, retiring after more than 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cheryl Ann Morgan and a son, James Clay Morgan, a brother, Charles Forrest and her in-laws, Charles and Pauline Morgan. 








She is survived by her husband Jimmy Morgan, of the home; 3 daughters, Michelle Brookshire and her husband Larry, Melissa Ramsey and her husband, Shane, all of Miami, Oklahoma and Jolene Greninger of the home, 2 sons, Stacey Morgan and his wife, Connie, of Bullard, Texas and Michael Morgan, Sr., and his wife, Tanya of Berryhill, Oklahoma, 2 brothers, George Forrest and his wife Sharon, of Seneca, Missouri and Ralph Forrest and wife, Lynette, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and a sister, Barbara Kuhn, of Joplin, Missouri. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, with one on the way, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Virginia S. Morgan will be held, 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, in Miami, with Bro. Ray Clonts, officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Baxter Springs Cemetery, Baxter Springs, Kansas. Pallbearers will be Matthew Morgan, Jeffrey Morgan, Michael Morgan, Jr., Josh Morgan, Andy Morgan, Clay (Bubba) Greninger, Blane Ramsey, Curtis Cox and Vince Whinch.
