Tammy Brigance

Mrs. Tammy Louise “Mam Mam” Brigance, 53, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Monday morning, August 24, 2020, while at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Great Aunt.

Tammy was born on September 21, 1966, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Oliver, Sr. and Rebecca Ann (Barber) Brigance. She moved to Joplin, Missouri, in 1981 and resided with her two sisters, Nora Jane Brigance and Bessie “Suzi” Brigance. She graduated from MSSU with a double major in accounting and business. She worked as a Deputy County Clerk with the Joplin Municipal Court. 








Tammy leaves behind her son, Bobby J. Brigance (Ashley) of Joplin; two grandchildren, Ethan and Carly Brigance; two sisters, Nora Jane Brigance and Suzi Brigance both of Joplin; a nephew, Micheal Brigance and family; two nieces, Samantha Bedell (Will, III) and family and Dakota Chaplin (Calvin) and family; great nieces, Jaeden, Adellyn and Emma Ann; two adopted sisters, Amy Stuart (John) and Traci Huber; uncle Jack Wolfe (Mary); and great aunt and uncle, Velma and Larry Stahl. Mam Mam, even though you got your wings to soon, we love and miss you.

Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri, with Larry Stahl officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Bobby Brigance, Calvin Chaplin, Will Bedell, Marques Rogers, David Long and Micheal Brigance. 

The family will receive friends on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin. 

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
