William Gorman Jr., 76, of Monett, Missouri entered into eternal rest on Sunday August 16, 2020 while staying at Bentonview Park Health and Rehab in Monett, Missouri. He was born on October 8, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas; the son of the late William and Gladys (Lightner) Gorman Sr.
He was united in marriage on May 31, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri to Marilyn Fugitt; she preceded him in death on July 5, 2020.
He was a retired factory worker; and an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Monett V.F.W. Post# 4207, the American Legion Post#91 and the Christian Bikers.
William is survived by one son: Patrick Gorman of Wentworth, Missouri; two daughters: Lanitia Ness of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Shelley Gorman of Warrensburg, Missouri and six grandchildren.
Visitation for William is being held on Thursday August 20, 2020 from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services for William will immediately follow visitation at 10:00a.m. on Thursday August 20, 2020 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow services at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
