Randy Shoemaker

Randy Ray Shoemaker, age 61, Webb City, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Freeman West of Joplin.

Randy was born December 25, 1958 in Joplin, son of the late Billy G. Shoemaker and Colleen R. (Malone) Shoemaker. He graduated from Memorial High School, and attended Missouri Southern State University. He worked for years in Welding, and taught classes at Franklin Tech for many years. He worked as a Welding Engineer with Thermal Engineering International for most of his career.

Randy loved being outdoors, either fishing, hunting, or camping with family and friends. He was also proud of the Black Belt he earned in Taekwondo, and he taught Taekwondo for several years in the Joplin area. 








In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Billy C. Shoemaker who passed in 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy White Shoemaker; daughter, Megan N. Shoemaker of Webb City; son, Dustin E. Shoemaker (Sierra) of Joplin; grandchildren, Abbey Wickman, Gage Wickman, Ethan Shoemaker, and Kydalynn Shoemaker; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Phillip Erwin officiating. Interment will follow in Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Orval Nelson, Justin Nelson, Kyle White, Blake Ogle, Brendan Swartz, and Cheryl Smith serving as pallbearers, and John Cookerly serving as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
