Carlton Meyer

Carlton Russell Meyer, 74, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Carlton was born on June 13, 1947 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to the union of the late Walter H. and Irene E. (Rossow) Meyer. 

On June 25, 1965 he was united in marriage to Patricia Cunningham, together they shared fifty-six years. 








Carlton retired from Tamko Building Products after thirty-five years of dedicated service. He also was employed with Kenny Neal Ford, and was currently working for Jay Hatfield in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He also served as a fire fighter as well as police and ambulance reserve. 

Carlton was a hard worker and enjoyed what he did. He was of the Lutheran faith. Carlton loving spending time with his family. He also enjoyed wood working, puzzle books and eating peanuts. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

Carlton is survived by his wife, Patty; children, Stacy Fox and husband, Josh, of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Russell Meyer of Sarcoxie, Shannon Dalton of Carthage and Randy Meyer, of Sarcoxie; grandchildren, Bridget Tackett, Heather Norman, Drew Meyer, Robert Dalton, Louise Dalton, Megan Meyer, Aaron Meyer and Kaylee Meyer; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, with Pastor Kenneth Filsinger officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
