(From Clark Funeral Home)Monty Ray Caywood, 59, Neosho, Missouri entered into rest on September 23, 2021, in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born March 8, 1962, the son of James and Beverly (Houpt) Caywood. Monty was a lifetime area resident.
He was a teacher, he spent most of his life teaching business at the college level at Vatterott College in Kansas City, St. Joseph, Joplin, and Knoxville Tennessee. Monty finished his teaching career at Clue Cliff College in Tennessee.
He will be remembered for his wonderful cooking and jewelry making. When not cooking or making jewelry he enjoyed canning from his home-grown garden and giving it away and working in the hay fields.
Monty is survived by his mother; one brother, James Brett Caywood of Joplin, Missouri, and numerous family members and many friends.
At Monty’s request, he will be cremated, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
