(From Parker Mortuary)Christina Marie Kitts, age 51, Joplin, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Freeman West after a sudden illness.
Chris was born February 25, 1970 in Sacramento, California, daughter of the late Joseph and Velma (White) Redden. She grew up in California and Kansas, graduating from Baxter Springs High School. She has been working for Celltron of Galena for many years.
She was a loving person who had a soft spot for stray animals. She had several rescue dogs over the years. She was always looking to spend time with her husband and daughter, she will be greatly missed by many.
Survivors include her husband, William David “Bill” Kitts, whom she married July 18, 1998 in Joplin; daughter, Coni Kitts of Austin, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Vicki and Dale Kitts of Joplin.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Virgil Eubanks officiating, and family serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery, Stella, Missouri.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family ask that memorial contributions be made to Chris’s favorite activity, the Joplin Humane Society.
