(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Joyce Barton of Noel, MO passed from this life Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was 62.
Joyce was born June 20, 1959 in Miami, OK to Sidney and Louise (Turner) Mathews. She had lived in Noel for the past 12 years moving from the Treece, KS. She had worked at Simmons Chicken Plant in Noel, MO.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Claude Barton September 26, 2021, her father Sidney Mathews and step father Leroy Johnston and her brother Mitchell Mathews.
Survivors include her son Chad Barton of Noel, MO, her mother Louise Baird of Baxter Springs, KS, 5 brothers Bus Mathews of Bentonville, AR, Joe Mathews of Columbus, KS, Rick Mathews of Springfield, MO, Denny Johnston of Baxter Springs, KS and Robert Johnston of Colorado, 1 sister Donna Lamb of Galena, KS, 3 grandchildren Brianda Sanchez, Selena Barton and Jolissa Barton and 4 great grandchildren Juanito Sanchez, Giovanni Sanchez, Ariana Sanchez and Dysel Myers.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Lee Cemetery in Gravette, AR. Rev. Darren Robbins will officiate. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK. Online condolences may be made at www.paulthomasfuneralhomes.com
