Speck Waters

Gerald (Speck) D. Waters, 78, Neosho, MO, passed away September 25, 2021 at his home after a long illness.

Gerald (Speck)David Waters was born September 9, 1943 in Wheeler, TX the son of Roy and Willene (Douthit) Waters. Speck as he was called by his family and friends, worked for his family owned livestock hauling business, which for him was not a job but a lifetime of enjoyment. He enjoyed truck driving and traveling across the county delivering livestock. Speck enjoyed camping at Lake McClellan and the Rockies with many close friends. 








Speck retired from the family business in 2005 then moved to the Neosho area. He loved watching baseball especially his Cubs. Speck was a member of the Highland Baptist Church of Pampa, TX.

Gerald (Speck) David Waters married Cheryl Dean Wheeler June 1, 1963 in Pampa, TX and she survives.

Additional survivors include, one daughter, Tena Waters, Neosho, MO.; Sons Roy and wife Angela (Dyer) Waters, and Monty and wife Desara (Hilton) Waters, all of Pampa, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Waldrip, Monty Cole Waters, both of Neosho, MO, Rylee Waters, US Navy San Diego, CA, Alleigh Waters, Pampa, TX, Brooke and husband Travis Nielson, Springfield, MO; Great-grandchildren, Chloe Silva, Springfield, MO, Brielle Waldrip, Leo Testerman and Scarlett Testerman all of Neosho, MO; one brother, Buddy Waters and wife Kay, Pampa, TX.

Waiting to welcome him through the golden gates is his father and mother, one sister, Patsy Railsback and one grandson, Brody Waters and nephew Jeff Railsback and a loving mother-in-law Maudie (Granny) Wheeler.

Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO, will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the New Salem Cemetery.



The casket will remain closed at all times. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital in Speck’s Memory.
