(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Joseph “Joe” Abraham Hodge, 78, of Wentworth, Missouri entered into eternal rest on Monday September 20, 2021 while at Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri. He was born in Kentucky on January 21, 1943; the son of the late Ruby Bunton.
He was a retired truck driver and former prison guard in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Chapel of Grace Church in Monett.
Joe is survived by his closest friend: Linda Pettus; two sons: Thomas Hodge and Earnie Hodge; three daughters: Opal Hoffman, Kathy Hodge and Barbara Hodge; one brother: John Bunton; one sister: Nicki Bunton and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Bunton; step-father: Delmer Bunton; one brother: Earnie Hodge and one sister: Sue.
Visitation for Joe is being held on Thursday September 23, 2021 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services are being held on Friday September 24, 2021 at 10:30a.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett, Missouri. Burial will follow services at the Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
