Dianne Ramsey

Dianne Marie Ramsey peacefully walked into the arms of Jesus on June 17, 2023.

She was born March 15, 1943 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She lived with her family in Fairbanks, Alaska from 1946 until she graduated from Lathrop High School in 1962. She attended Mary Stone Beauty School in Seattle, where she obtained her Beautician's license in 1963.

 

She was married to Robert (Bob) Ramsey on November 22, 1963 in Fairbanks, where they lived until 1977, and where their three sons were born. They lived in Hawaii until 1983 and then New Jersey until 1990, when they moved to Sarcoxie. Dianne loved her work as a beautician. She owned several shops, all named Shear Wonder. She continued working right up to the time of her recent illness. She was well-known for her love of music and could play many instruments. She was talented in painting and quilting. She made quilts for each of her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leif and Meredith Ostnes, her husband Robert and her brother Lawrence Ostnes (Janice).

Dianne leaves her loving family, sons Todd, Lars (Cathy), and Paul (Monet), six grandchildren Ethan, Meadow, Remington, Jacqueline (Cody), Allison and Joseph. Sisters Carol Murphy (Ted) and Jeanne Benintendi (Tim), and brother Leif Ostnes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many chosen family and friends.

Celebration of life will be at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through website www.housh-goodwinfuneral.com.
