(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Rocky Allen Windle, 74, of Joplin, MO, passed away on June 20, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Jesse Windle, siblings, Sandra Holland and Kenneth “Butch” Windle and son Brad Windle all of Joplin, MO.
He is survived by his daughter’s family Abbey and Wade Metzinger of Tulsa, OK and his grandchildren Aspen Metzinger Tulsa Ok, Briana, Leanna and Braden Windle of Joplin, MO.
Rocky loved spending time at Grand Lake, fishing, driving speed boats and hanging out with friends. He loved his pet dogs, he always had at least 2 or 3 and took them with him whenever he went.
Rocky’s fondest memories were with his brother Butch Windle and the friends he had made. Rockie took over “The Ranch” in Galena, KS after his brothers passing. He could spend hours telling stories of the good old days of parties and bands that played there.
Viewing/Celebration of life will take place at Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin, MO on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.. The graveside service will take place on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, MO.
Friends and family are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family requsts donations be made to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
