(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Darrel Anthony Jozwiak, 41, passed away in his sleep on June 11, 2023 in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born on April 20, 1982 in Elkhart, Indiana to Marilyn and Michael Jozwiak.
Darrel is directly survived by his two incredible children, Parker and Kennedy Jozwiak of Joplin, who have always been the very center of his universe. They will carry on his legacy of kindness and compassion.
He is additionally survived by his loving brother Chris Jozwiak, his nephew Brayden Jozwiak and his nieces Abigail and Emily Jozwiak, all of Seattle. He is also survived by his cousin Elysia Stopczynski of Nixa who he loved dearly like a sister, as well as her children Noah Bremhorst, Penny Stopczynski, Elly Stopczynski and Jacob Stopczynski. Finally, he is survived by his loving Uncle and Aunt, Jerry and Carolyn Longtin of Nixa.
Darrel was preceded in death by his gentle mother, Marilyn Jozwiak, who he loved tremendously.
Darrel graduated in 2000 from Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri. Following high school, Darrel pursued a career in the restaurant industry. He loved to delight people with his culinary abilities, and he constantly pushed to learn and improve his skills in the kitchen.

He also deeply enjoyed the sense of family and community he shared with all of his coworkers as he accelerated his career into restaurant management. Darrel was always someone people could depend upon.
Darrel was one of the kindest, most gracious people around. He took time to understand and care for people who were struggling in any and all facets of life. He was very wise, and always did his best to help others with his perspective, encouragement and advice. He seemed to know everybody, everywhere, and as such, he will be remembered very fondly by the great number of people whose lives he touched.
