(From Clark Funeral Home)Rosemary Hammer Pogue was born December 2, 1934, in Granby, Missouri, the daughter of William Cecil and Lemma May (Marler) Hammer. She entered into rest in Neosho, Missouri on June 21, 2023, at the age of 88.
Rosemary was raised in Granby, Missouri. On June 29, 1953, at the Granby First Baptist Church, she and Hermey Pogue were united in marriage. They lived in Neosho all of their 69 years of marriage.
Rosemary worked at Kraft Foods, Cudahy's, and at La-Z-Boy Midwest during her working years. She and Hermey enjoyed going to music gatherings, singing, fishing, and camping. She enjoyed cooking and baking and pies were her specialty. She and Hermey loved attending sports events of their great-grandchildren. Rosemary was a member of Spring City Baptist Church and she loved singing in church.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Hermey; two children, Dianne (Chris) Milberger and Ron (Kathy) Pogue; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Cecil Hammer and Dave Hammer, and two sisters, Ruth Hawkins and Lillian Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor John Mitchell and grandson, Pastor Scott Pogue will officiate. Interment will be in the Gibson Cemetery and those serving as pallbearers will be Travis Milberger, Austin Milberger, Scott Pogue, Dugan Pogue, Abram Pogue, Eric Lankford, and Brent Lankford. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Sunday, June 25th from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rosemary may be made to Spring City Baptist Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P. O. Box 66; Neosho, Missouri 64850.
