(From Knell Mortuary)Christopher John Leber, 54, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, June 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri.
Christopher was born September 27, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Charles Leber and Christine (Wieczorek) Leber. He was a 1986 graduate of Streamwood High School, Streamwood, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Renee Rainey; they later divorced.
He then married Rachel Perry; and they later separated.
Christopher was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Carthage. He worked as a machine shop foreman for several years. Christopher loved playing and watching basketball, but most of all, loved his family.
Survivors include his father, Charles Leber; his mother and stepfather, Christine and Jeff Lindner; two daughters, Jessica Leber, and Elizabeth Leber; three sons, William Leber, Jason Leber, and Zachary Leber; grandchildren, Kaydence Leber, Wyatt Leber, Easton Hobbs, Maddix Hobbs, Odessa Garrison, Gabrielle Nicole Leber, and Isabelle Grace Leber; a brother, Timothy Leber; two sisters, Jennifer Bunte, and Dana Jaynes; his ex-wife, Renee Lightner; ex-wife, Rachel Perry; and many extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held 6-8 pm, Friday, June 16, 2023, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
