When Debbie put her mind to something, nothing could stop her. When she wanted new carpet, she learned how to lay it. When she wanted a bigger bathroom, she took a hammer to the walls and built herself a bigger bathroom. Eventually, she took on larger scale projects like restoring and renovating many homes around the Joplin area.
Debbie is survived by her daughter Barbara Longan of Joplin, two granddaughters, Emily Thompson of Fayetteville, and Maggie Thompson of Joplin, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Michael Longan, her sister, Pamela Porter, her brother, Clinton "Sonny" Sprowls and her mother, Josephine Sprowls.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17 at Osborne Cemetery.
