(From Simpson Funeral Home)Naomi Ruth Conway, a strong woman with a beautiful personality, entered the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. She was born on January 23, 1934 in Wichita, KS to Randolph & Nina (Kerr) Miller.
Naomi overcame insurmountable odds from a young age, growing up to create a beautiful life with her one and only soulmate, William Conway.
She and her husband "Bill" met on a blind date arranged by Bill's friend, Bob Goodson, an Army buddy. Naomi won him over quickly with her cooking - she was an award-winning pie maker. Together, they had a daughter Kim Kolins of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Naomi loved people, and her family recalls her being nothing but strong and brave through her numerous health struggles over her life. She enjoyed traveling when she could.
Naomi cut hair for 38 years, and for a time owned The Balcony Boutique of Alba, after Bill worked on fixing up the store with new wallpaper. She previously worked as a dental assistant, worked in medical records at Mt. Carmel, and had retired after working at Beverly's in Joplin in 1994 doing what she loved- styling hair.
