John Manley

John William Manley, III, age 63 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away suddenly at Freeman Hospital on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. John was born May 2, 1960 in Joplin to the late John W. Manley II and Alice Ann Craton. He was a lifelong resident of the Joplin area and graduated from Memorial High with the class of 1978. 

After graduation, John enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. before coming back home and beginning his working career. Prior to retirement due to health, John was working as a Custodian with the Joplin R-VII School District. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Joplin.








He is survived by 2 sons, John W. Manley, IV of Hermitage, Missouri and Nikolas Manley and wife, Katy of Neosho; sister, Tara Kennedy of Joplin; 3 grandchildren, Ella, Lucas and Nolan; plus many extended family and friends.

Other than his parents, John is also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ellison.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri and family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
