(From Clark Funeral Home)It is with a deep sadness that we share the passing of Jerry Joseph Mitchell, loving father, grandfather and brother.
Jerry was born on August 28, 1954 in Fresno, California, the son of Jasper and June (Stinson) Mitchell. He entered into rest on June 14, 2023 in Neosho, at the age of 68, from a sudden illness.
Jerry graduated from Fresno, California and later graduated from Crowder College in 1999 with an associates degree in science. Working at Crowder College was one of his proudest achievements, and he worked there from 1998 to 2006. While working there, he made many friends with his kindness, smile, and love for his work.
Jerry enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and cooking on the grill any time he could. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and never missed a game, cheering them on.
He is survived by his two daughters, Paula Webb and life partner, Orion and Rachel Feagans and husband, Brett, all of Neosho. He was a grandfather to six grandchildren and great grandfather to six great grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by a brother, Carl Mitchell and wife, Lou of Clovis, California and a cousin, that became his bonus brother, James Stinson of Joplin, Missouri.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Patty Perry and the mother of his children, Judy. Jerry’s life was filled with love, joy and adventure and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
