Constance “Connie” Angela Brown, 81, El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away early Monday morning, June 19, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. Connie was born April 20, 1942, in Champlain, New York, the daughter of the late Warren and Margaret (LaGoy) Trudeau. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in New York. 

Connie married Donald R. Brown on August 11, 1962, in Champlain, New York; he preceded her in death on July 30, 2011. 

She was a member of the El Dorado Springs Nazarene Church. Connie enjoyed crocheting, tending to her flowers and plants, but most of all, spending time with her family. Connie was a loving wife, daughter, mother, and “Memom”. She was a caregiver to her Father-in-Law, Mother and Husband for many years. Connie was very active in her church in Michigan before she became a caretaker of loved ones. She taught Sunday School, helped with VBS and Children’s Quizzing.

Survivors include a son, James Brown, Roseville, Michigan; two daughters, Cheryl Rock (Roger), Peru, New York, and Angela Whetstone (William “Bill”), Baxter Springs, Kansas; grandchildren, Whitney Bachmann (Bryan), Shantel Demarais (Kyle), Tyler Lashway (Kelsey), Hallie Lauber (Andrew), Felicia Sibilsky (Justin), Cheyanne Schnur (Jonathon), Brooke DeFries (Jordan), and Gregory Whetstone; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherry Brown; and a brother, Rodney Trudeau, Sr.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 1-3 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona, NY.

Funeral Service will be Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona, NY.
