Belva Meisenheimer

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

With a heavy heart, we announce the departure of our beloved Belva J. Meisenheimer, who passed away on June 5th, 2024, on what would have been her 57th wedding anniversary.

Born on January 27th, 1943, in El Dorado Springs, MO, Belva spent her years as a dedicated career Navy wife through several relocations, before finally resettling in Vernon County, Missouri in retirement.

Belva, a loving and reliable pillar of strength, found her true calling in the realm of family life. Her family was her world, and she loved them unconditionally. Raising her family was not just her duty; it was her most treasured accomplishment. She was a member of the Nevada Eagles Lodge and the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA). Her involvement in these associations underscored her commitment to community service and her love for animals. From the bustling streets of El Dorado Springs to the tranquil landscapes of Vernon County, Belva's journey was a testament to her resilience and unwavering dedication to family.

Belva is survived by her children Ronda Feagan (Kerry) of Arcola, Douglas Mullins, and James Meisenheimer Jr., both of Nevada; her brother Dan Pursley and family of Nevada; seven grandchildren Steven, Nicole, Carla, Stefani, Patrick, John, Benjamin; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Pearl "Ruth" Pursley; her husband, James Meisenheimer Sr., her daughters LaDonna Bishop and Melissa Dupree, her grandson Gregory Dupree, her grandson-in-law Donovan Daniel, her great-grandson Dalton Bishop, and her sister Ruth "Ann" Meisenheimer. Each one of them held a special place in her heart, and she in theirs.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff and volunteers of Solace House for making Belva's last days more comfortable.

Belva's legacy continues to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory is a comfort to all who knew her. Per Belva's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home. The family encourages relatives and friends to visit www.simpsonfh.com to share photos and memories of Belva. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Belva's memory to the Solace House of the Ozarks, in care of the funeral home. Celebrate the life of Belva Meisenheimer by sharing your favorite moments, stories, and photographs. Her story is far from over, and every shared memory adds another chapter to her incredible journey.
