Virginia Bain

Virginia Ellen Bain, 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Joplin, MO. She was born on December 15, 1934, in Fairland, Oklahoma, to the late Jesse and Ruba (Chappel) Goins.

Virginia married Odis Dees in 1952 and to that union, three children were born; Alan, Pam, and Ron. Odis preceded her in death in 1976. In 1982, she married Warren Bain, and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Virginia leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She was a strong Christian example to her children; Alan Dees (Carolyn), Pam Templeton (Glenn), and Ron Dees (Cathy). She was a doting mother whose guidance and affection knew no bounds. 






She was a devoted grandmother to Bridgett Dees, Rebecca Campidilli, Krista Worden, Brandon Hutchings, Matthew Hutchings, Nena Endicott, Dustin Dees, and Stephanie Jennings. The family circle expanded to include 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, with another on the way, all of whom were blessed to experience her love.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers; James, Bill, Sam, J.R. and Mack Goins.

Virginia was an amazing seamstress. Her love for decorating was evident in her home. She relished the time spent with her family. Her presence was a comforting constant, and her influence will continue to be felt through the generations.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, Mo. A Graveside Service is planned for Monday, June 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, Oklahoma. 

Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Brandon Hutchings, Matthew Hutchings, Dustin Dees, Hunter Endicott, Fischer Endicott, and Tyson Hutchings.








The family would like to express their deep appreciation for all wonderful care she received at Joplin Gardens and from Gentiva Hospice.

Memorial contributions can be made to the DAV, Watered Gardens, or the charity of your choice and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
