(From Daniel Funeral Home)Evelyn Louise Onstott, age 90, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on September 9, 2026.
Evelyn was born on August 26, 1936, in Oronogo, Missouri, to Carl Nally and Pansy Marie (Dodson) Nally.
On June 18, 1953, Evelyn married the love of her life, Orville William Onstott, in Carthage, Missouri. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and many cherished memories. Evelyn and Orville shared 63 years of marriage before his passing.
Evelyn was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent many years working as a housekeeper at Barton County Memorial Hospital. She took great pride in her work and in caring for others. She was a woman who valued her family and the simple joys of life, and those who knew her will remember her for the love and kindness she shared throughout the years.
Family was especially important to Evelyn. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Georgia) Onstott of Lamar, Missouri; daughter, Debra (Max) Walters of Lamar, Missouri; brother, Gary Nally of Alba, Missouri; brother-in-law, Max Prine of Jasper, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Pansy Nally; her husband, Orville William Onstott; one daughter, Kathy Carter; one grandson, Kale Walters; two sisters; and four brothers.
Private family services will be held.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lamar Animal Shelter and may be made in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
Evelyn will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on through the many cherished memories she leaves behind.
