(From Parker Mortuary)Randy C. Sheridan was born on August 30, 1953, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and passed away on September 9, 2026, in Duenweg, Missouri, following an extended illness.
Randy lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and a warm sense of humor that touched the lives of many. He was the son of the late George and Frances Nadyne (Merritt) Sheridan and grew up with strong family ties that remained important to him throughout his life. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Ronnie Sheridan and Connie Chambers. Randy attended Parkwood High School in Joplin and carried the values of determination and perseverance with him into adulthood.
For more than 25 years, Randy worked at Tri-State Motor Company in the maintenance department, where he was respected for his dependability, skill, and steady presence. He also owned and operated Sheridan Auto Service with his brother for 21 years, a venture that reflected both his mechanical ability and his commitment to serving others. Randy was known as someone who could fix just about anything, and his hands-on nature made him a trusted and valued part of every place he worked. He was funny, handy, and creative, qualities that were shown in both his work and his everyday life.
Randy enjoyed sports throughout his life, especially football and NASCAR, and he followed them with enthusiasm. In his younger years, he also shared his musical talent as a drummer for different bands, adding another dimension to his many interests and talents. Whether he was working on a vehicle, enjoying a game, or keeping rhythm behind a drum set, Randy brought energy and personality to all that he did.
He is survived by his sons, Dustin Dickson and partner Reaka, and Jason Haymes; his daughters, Kimberly Rea and her husband Justin, Christine Fletcher and her husband Michael, and Jamie Carr; his brothers, Larry Sheridan and Roger Johnson; his sister, Katrina Sheridan; and his grandchildren, Carrson, Gage, Abigale, Micha, Logan, Caden, Noah, Jacob, Jaxson, Aron, and Amy. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, his nephew Bobby Hill, his niece Stephanie Stewart and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A Memorial Service is planned for Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Ignite Church at 777 N. Bus Highway 49, Neosho, Missouri.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
Very sorry to hear this, always enjoyed working with Randy and Larry at TSMT. Always trusted both of the with any repairs I needed taken care of wether it was a vehicle or was a problem in the paint shop. He definitely will be missed by many. RIP my friend.
