Delores Tingle, age 88, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015, at her home, following a sudden illness.
Delores was born on May 4, 1927 in Joplin, the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Barnard) Hodges. She has been a lifetime area resident. In her early years she worked for Safeway Bakery and IGA. She married J.R. Tingle on March 13, 1948, together they raised two children. She was a member of the Duenweg Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed making floral arrangements.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband J.R. Tingle on July 27, 2001; her son Randie Tingle on April 9, 2014; a brother, Charles Elvin Hodges; and a sister, Kathaleen Duke. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy McBee, Joplin; her daughter-in-law, Linda Tingle, Joplin; four grandchildren, Brandon Tingle and his wife Angie, Blake Tingle, Ashleigh Despos and her husband Matthew, and Brittany McBee; and four great-grandchildren.
