Doris Lee Daniels, age 77 of Joplin, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 6, 2015 following an extended illness.
Doris was born March 18, 1938 to the late Orville Ladd and Zelma Phillips Ladd in Joplin where she has lived all her life. She graduated from Duenweg High School and also Joplin Jr. College. Doris worked over 30 years for Metropolitan Life as a secretary. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Joplin. Doris loved to read but spent most of her time with her family and watching her grandson, Sam play baseball.
On March 1, 1963, Doris married Delmer Daniels in Miami, Oklahoma, he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Susan Moore and husband, Steve of Joplin; step-son, Rick Daniels of Joplin; grandchild, Sam Moore and step-grandchild, Cody Daniels.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Marian June Boyd.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-7:00 p.m. also at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Foundation in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
