Elfriede Frad

Elfriede M. Frad entered into her final rest at her home in Neosho, following a long illness surrounded by her son, Wilfred Frad and daughter in law, Sherry Frad and her niece, Petra Maroe at her besdie. Elfride took God’s hand to go home on Dec. 7, 2018 with her caregiver Stephanie Owen and family and friends at her side.

 Elfriede M. Frad was born to George and Theresia Boch in 1935 in Kist, Germany. She was raised and grew up in Kist Germany until high school with her two brothers, Wilford Bach and Hamal Bach and one sister, Analise Randoph of Germany. She completed high school and worked at cleaning houses.

In 1954, she met a man in the Army she dated until May 28, 1955 when she married Orval M. Frad, Jr. in Wurzburg, Germany. She soon had a son, Alfred E. Fran on July 25th, 1955 and she went on to become a U.S. citizen and moved to the United States to raise her son. She moved to Florida and California raising both sons while her husband was serving in the army for 21 years. She served her country as well as her husband for 21 years, giving it her all as a Army wife and mother. After leaving army life, her family moved to Oklahoma where she went on to become a volunteer helping the homeless and special needs people and helping the children network. She lived her life for her husband and two sons, but mostly for her country. She was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, mother in law. She gave it her all and in 2011 moved to Missouri to live with her son Wilfred and daughter in law, Sherry while they cared for her. 

 Wilfred is preceded in death by her husband, Orval M. Frad of 52 years, her oldest son, Alfrede Frad of Kansas, one granddaughter, Anna L. Frad of Missouri and her parents, grandparents and two brothers of Germany. Elfriede M. Frad is survived by her son, Wilfred Frad and daughter in law, Sherry; sister, Annelise Rudolf of Germany and niece, Petra Marcoe of Virginia, one granddaughter, two great granddaughters, nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews of Texas, Germany, Tennessee and Oklahoma.
