Dianna Afuvai

Dianna Afuvai, 71, of Southwest City, Missouri, was called to Heaven on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma.

Dianna was born on May 21, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri to the late Alvis and Maxine (Dobson) Hagan. She was a teacher and librarian retiring in 2005 from the McDonald County R-1 Schools; served on the Library Board for the Anne Croxdale Library in Southwest City. She was a member of the Maysville Extension Homemakers club in Maysville, Arkansas and the Grace Life Church in Anderson, Missouri; the Elk River Little Theater in Noel, Missouri. Dianna enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, baking and decorating sugar cookies and scrapbooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Carol Gilmore.

Dianna is survived by her daughter, Shannon Hurley and husband, Dusty of Southwest City, Missouri; and much loved grandson, Bowen Hurley; a brother, Roy Hagan and wife, Loretta of Mountain Grove, Missouri; a niece, Laura Hagan-Elliff and husband, Brett of Springfield, Missouri; an aunt, Barbara Brooks and husband, C.T. of Greenville, Texas; along with a host of family and friends who will dearly miss Dianna.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Cumming Cemetery in Tiff City, Missouri. Reverend Cecil Hall will officiate.
