Joan Jaccaud

Joan E. Shepherd Jaccaud, 57, Neosho, entered into rest on Dec. 26, 2018, following a motor vehicle accident in Lawrence County, MO.

 Joan was born Sept. 8, 1961 in Neosho and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Diamond High School and had a B.S. degree in Music Education and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She had owned and operated Shepherd Music and Dance Studio in Diamond and was currently a music teacher at the Seneca School System. She had previously taught in Neosho, McDonald County and Diamond. She was a member of the Kufara Marimba Band, World Music Drumming, A Master Gardener, MSTA, MMEA and a former member of Dance Masters. 

 Joan is survived by one son, Joshua E. Tune of Neosho; her mother, Judy Yoder and husband, Charles of Diamond; one sister, Jean M. Douglas and husband, Joe of Diamond; two nephews, Taylor Jordan Douglas and Ty Jaxson Douglas; three stepchildren, Steven M. Jaccaud, II and Tyler G. Jaccaud, both of Colorado, Lauren C. Jaccaud Patterson of California, three step grandchildren and other extended family. 



She is preceded in death by her father, Jack W. Shepherd; maternal grandparents, Paul and Eva Jeans, paternal grandparents, Carl and Mildred Shepherd and her former husband, Ron Tune. 

Services will be Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 at 10 am at the Diamond Baptist Church, Dr. Phillip McClendon will officiate. Interment will follow in the Diamond Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Kelly Daniel, Kent Daniel, Craig Daniel, Robert Compton, Tim Yoder and Sam Yoder. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. 

Contributions in memory of Joan may be made to the MSSU Music Department for a scholarship designated for a piano major, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
