David Munoz

Pastor David Brian Munoz, 50, of Anderson, Missouri, departed from this life into rest with Christ on Tuesday afternoon, December 18, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

David began his earthly journey on January 5, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Aurelio Munoz and Marilyn Kay Prather. He was raised in Southern California and was a 1986 graduate of Golden West High School in Visalia, California. On March 11, 1989, he was united in marriage to Jodi Whiteside, and to this union three children were born. In 1997, David graduated from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. David has been the Pastor of First Christian Church in Anderson since that same year. David was a great man of faith. He ministered not only to his congregation, but also to the entire community. He enjoyed Lego’s, spending time with his family, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

His mother, Marilyn Kay Prather preceded him in death.

David is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Jodi Munoz; three daughters, Michelle Wagner of Goodman and Sarah and Abigail Munoz of the home; two grandchildren, Emma and David Wagner; his father, Aurelio Munoz of Florida; his stepmother, Donna Diane Munoz of North Carolina; two brothers, Richard Munoz of Oklahoma and Patrick Munoz of Hawaii; as well as a host of other family and friends.

An evening of visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website, www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
