Faye F. McCreary, age 82, Webb City, Missouri, passed away on Monday December 17, 2018 at her home with family at her side.
Faye was born April 5, 1936 in Stella, Missouri, daughter of the late Walter Byrd and Mary Boyd Hayworth. She was a faithful member of Emanuel Baptist Church of Webb City. She was best known as being a devoted wife, mother, and especially ‘Nanny’. She will be dearly missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Don Gene Pendergraft, and Emmett McCreary; son, Jimmie Pendergraft; grandsons, Jermey Pendergraft, Michael Pendergraft; great-grandson, Lucas Glover; six brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Donnie Pendergraft of Neosho; Marty Pendergraft (Rebecca) of Oronogo, Missouri, Roger Pendergraft of Joplin, Randy Pendergraft (Amanda) of Oronogo; daughters, Kathy Allen of Houston, Texas, Evelyn Roberts (Terry) of Webb City, Patricia Day (Glenn Stuckey) of Joplin, and daughter-in-law Judy Pendergraft of Neosho; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bud Byrd of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Kyle Beverlin officiating. Interment will follow in Saginaw Cemetery with sons: Donnie, Marty, Roger, Randy, and grandsons: Christopher Johnson, Randal Roberts serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Shannon Pendergraft and Adam Day.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Integrity Hospice.
