Glenn Cole

Glenn Leroy Cole 87, formerly of Newtonia, MO, died January 15, 2014 at the Baptist Home in Ozark, Missouri after a short illness. Glenn was born March 25, 1926 in Newton County, Missouri to Truman M. and Julia (Ryno) Cole. He married Sue McCracken on November 23, 1958. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2006.

Glenn lived most of his life in the Newtonia area, owning and operating a large dairy farm and later operating a spraying and fertilizer business. He was a member of the Newtonia Baptist Church. He took flying lessons and learned to pilot a plan. While in Ozark he drove many of the residents to Springfield for doctor’s appointment, etc. He spent many hours, working very difficult puzzles.

He is survived by one son, David Cole. He is also survived by one sister, Neva Williams, Neosho, a sister-in-law, Rosalee Cole and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth and Robert Cole.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Baptist Home in Ozark, MO, January 16, 2014. Cremation services under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
