Rev. Emery "Mac" McReynolds

Reverend Emery J. (Mac) McReynolds age 61 of Grove, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 in Grand Lake Villa.

 He was born on February 28, 1952 in Neosho, Missouri to James L. McReynolds and Gay Landon McReynolds. Mac was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the I.A.M. Union. Mac was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Grove, Oklahoma and a member of the Hands with Prayer Motorcycle Ministries. He was a 1970 Webb City High School graduate.

 He married Carolyn Sue Jones McReynolds on September 13, 1991 in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives of the home. Mac is also survived by his mother, Gay McReynolds of Webb City; son, Michael J. Wheatman of Catoosa, Oklahoma; step-sons, David Powell of Springfield, Joseph Powell of Grove, and Michael Powell of Fayetteville; sisters, Carolyn McGinnis of Neosho, Denise Eichelberger and husband Terry of Webb City, Sheryl Sarrgent of Webb City, and Betsy Phillips and husband Bob of Joplin; good friend, Richard Bentley of Webb City; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mac was preceded in death by his father, and a brother-in-law, Everett McGinnis.

 Graveside services with full military rites will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Oronogo Cemetery with Pastor Tony Wisdom officiating. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. In lieu of normal floral remembrances the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Good Sheppard Hospice in his memory.
