Mildred "Honey" Mahan

Mildred “Honey” Elizabeth Tanner Norris Mahan, age 90, Granby, died Jan. 27, 2014 at her home in Granby, following a long illness. She was born January 17, 1924 in Webb City, Missouri to Charles and Alta Tanner, one of nine children. She had worked as a nurse’s aide for many years at the Neosho Senior Center and was an avid reader, wrote poetry and enjoyed quilting. She was a supporter of the Honey Box Ministries and attended the Granby Miracle Church. Mildred is survived by; two daughters, Jo Gary and husband Larry, Neosho, and Nania Norris, Granby; a son, David Norris and wife Carolyn of Neosho; a sister, Maxine Cargile Granby; seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Jack Norris in 1973, husband Armond Mahan in 2004 and two grandsons, David Jo Norris and Brian Cox.
