Velda Pryor Judd, 92, Rogers, AR, formerly of Diamond, MO died Jan. 31, 2014 at Bentonville, AR, following an extended illness.
Velda was born Aug. 5, 1921 in Carthage, MO, to Riley and Lola (Miller) Pryor. The family moved to Ritchey, MO when Velda was four years old, and she attended school in Ritchey most of her life and graduated from Granby High School in 1941.
In 1941, she married Rex Judd, her high school sweetheart and they had three sons, Gary, Dan and Ted. She helped her husband on the Dairy farm for twenty years and after leaving the dairy farm, they moved to Diamond where she worked in the Diamond School for twelve years. She loved to quilt and supplied her many family members with quilts and loved being with her grandchildren and family. She volunteered at Carver Memorial for ten years and belonged to the Church of Christ at West Union and the Diamond Improvement Group until moving to Rogers, AR, where she was attended the Pea Ridge Church of Christ.
Velda is survived by her husband of 72 years, Rex of the home; three sons, Gary Judd and wife, Carolyn, Florida; Danny Judd and wife, Jonita, Rogers, AR and Ted Judd and wife, Janet, Lowell, AR; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
VISITATION WILL BE 1 PM UNTIL SERVICE TIME.
