Belva Fisher

Belva Sue (Brown-Allen) Fisher, age 66 of Joplin, Mo. passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.


Belva was born on June 28, 1954, in San Bernardino, Ca., the daughter of Delbert and Pearl (Brown) Allen. She has been a long-time area resident. Belva worked for many years in nursing homes as a Nurse’s Aide before retiring in 2005.

She married Michael M. Fisher in 1974, he preceded Belva in death on May 22, 2020. She was also preceded by her father, Delbert Allen, and by a grandson, Matthew Fisher.








Survivors include her mother; Pearl Allen, a son; Michael Fisher and wife Mindy Fisher of Joplin, three daughters; Karen Busse and husband Gary Busse of Joplin, Nancy Fisher and her partner Justin Brewer of Joplin, Diane Maynard and husband Greg Maynard of Rolla, Mo., two brothers; Gary Allen and wife Kathy Allen of Mindenmines, Mo., Pete Allen of Joplin, two sisters; Sharon Clark and husband Jamie Clark of Corpus Christie, Tx., Debora Taylor of Pittsburg, Ks., 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Belva is to be taken for cremation with the family holding memorial services at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
