Marlet Howard

Marlet Lavern Howard, 80 of Goodman, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Marlet entered this life on December 19, 1939 to the late Elisha and Iola (Elliott) Howard in Dora, Missouri. He worked for Earle M. Jorgenson trucking in Tulsa for 40 years after retirement he moved to Goodman, MO in 2011. 

On May 26, 2012 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Turney. Marlet liked going to Church where he enjoyed singing. He also enjoyed playing dominos, hunting, working with his cows and visiting sale barns.








He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Thelma on August 15, 2000, a brother and two sisters.

Marlet is survived by his wife Phyllis of the home, four sons; Dennis Wayne Howard of Neosho, Kenneth Howard and Donnie Howard both of Tulsa and Bradley Thurman and wife Linda of Joplin, a daughter; Kimberly Bowman and husband Robert of Neosho, a sister; Rozetta Howard of Sapulpa, OK, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Sister-In-Law: Lena Howard, three Brothers-in-law; Clovis Richards and wife Vivian, Billy Joe Richards and wife Betty and Rickie Richards and wife Norma, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Marlet Lavern Howard will be held Monday, September 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, MO with Evangelist Zach Evans and Evangelist Clint De France officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 9 until service time. His grandsons will honor his life by serving as pallbearers.
