Thelma Brown

Thelma Lee Brown was born November 3, 1934 in Neosho, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Irene (Clemons) Bridges. She entered into rest on September 17, 2020 at her home in Neosho, following a year of declining health at the age of 85. 

Thelma was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Neosho High School, class of 1952. She had worked as seamstress for Steward Cleaners and as a waitress. She was loved by many and had a special way with babies and helped to raise three generations of family. She was a great cook and fed many family, she was all about family.

Thelma and Max Brown were married on July 12, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma and he survives.








Additional survivors include three children, Debbie Barnett and husband, Max of Joplin, Barry Alan Brown and wife, Veronica of Diamond and Pamela Terese Bridges and husband, Jimmy of Newtonia; one brother, Joe Bridges and wife, Patsy of Stark City; thirteen grandchildren and thirty two great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Robert Max Brown in 1988 and a grandson, Kyle Brown.
