(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Garry Lee Freeman, 76, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Garry was born on November 15, 1943 in Crawford, Nebraska. On October 6, 1962 he was united in marriage to Connie Jean Shaw. Together they shared fifty seven years.
He worked many years in the construction industry as well as constructing cell phone towers. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed guns, loving and talking about his grandchildren and his family. Garry was a very devoted family man and hard worker. Every job or task that he did was completed with pure perfection. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodger E. and Julia A. (Birdsall) Peterson.
Garry is survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Timothy Freeman and his wife, Jacqueline, of Sarcoxie, and Diana Freeman, of Carthage; grandchildren, James Neumeyer, Garrett Freeman and Grant Freeman, all of Sarcoxie; great-grandchildren, Tieranie Schell and McKinlee Freeman; brothers, Mark Peterson and wife Kim, of Whittier, California, and Ronnie Peterson and wife, Debbie, State of Florida; brother-in-law, Danny Shaw and his wife, Jean, of Sarcoxie and brother-in-law, Ed Brown; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation for Garry will be from 2-3:00 pm of Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
