(From Clark Funeral Home)John William Naylor, age 80, of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born October 25, 1942, in Avery, Oklahoma, to the late William Benton and Gertrude Louise (Foster) Naylor.
John was a 1960 graduate of Neosho High School and a member of the Hilldale Baptist Church. On September 18, 1996, he married Yvonne R. Kivinen in Michigan.
John proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 1979 as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Technician. He was a member of the Pineville American Legion Post #392 and volunteered for the Missouri Funeral Honors Program for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of the home; one son, Richard (Shellie) Smith of Godley, Texas; one brother, Glennis (Linda) Naylor of Neosho; three sisters, Clara (Darwood) Terry of Neosho, Bobbi Hill of Neosho, and Berneva (Clyde) Whitman of Grove Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; four stepchildren. Shawn (Mary) Towns, Michael (Dawn) Towns, Christopher Towns, and Nathan Sizemore; brother-in-law, Kim Kivinen; and sister-in-law, Joann Lovett.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law Roy Kivinen and sister-in-law Carol Goodburn, preceded him in death.

A funeral service, with full military honors, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home. Phillip McClendon will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday before the service.
