Peggy Tabb

Peggy June Tabb, age 84, of Joplin, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at her home.

Peggy, daughter of the late John and Clara (Place) Hosp, was born on August 19, 1938, in Joplin.

She was united in marriage to Charles “Charlie” Tabb in 1962 in Joplin. Together they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage until Charlie’s passing on March 18, 2017. 

Peggy was a joyful person with a giving heart. Not having children of her own, she always had an open heart and open door for her nieces, nephews, and those she considered and treated as her own. Her presence in their lives will be deeply missed.

Survivors include a brother, Glenn Stone, of Oronogo; a sister, Betty Gamache, of Barnsville, MN; two bonus girls, Theresa Robbins, and her husband, Shannon, of Carl Junction, and Tabatha Leonard, and her husband, Zach, of Oronogo; her brother-in-law and his wife, Tom and Martha Tabb, of Joplin; nephew, Aaron Moore, and his wife, Julie; a niece, Carrie Moore, and her husband, Garry; great nephews and nieces, Wyatt Moore, Sammy Moore, Dylan Robbins, Logan Robbins, Laken Leonard, and Ava Leonard; a special neighbor and caregiver, Bonnie Henning; and he dear cat, Smokey.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by a niece, Diane Clement, and her cousin, Evelyn Riley.
