(From Clark Funeral Home)Orin Paul Trentham, Jr., (Paul) was born October 31, 1934 in Springfield, Missouri, one of two children to Orin Paul Trentham, Sr. and Mary (Matlock) Trentham. He entered into rest on November 15, 2022 at his home in Neosho at the age of 88.
Paul graduated from Greenwood High School in Springfield, from SMSU with a bachelor’s degree, and later earned a master’s degree in Engineering Management from University of Missouri - Rolla.
Paul worked as an engineer for Westinghouse in Pennsylvania after completing college and in 1962 moved to Neosho, where he worked at Rocketdyne and Buddy L. He then worked at Allgeier, Martin, and Associates in Joplin and following his retirement, he owned and operated Engineering Management Consultants.
Paul was awarded the Young Engineer of the Year award from the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers in 1969.
He was an avid bowler, always striving to bowl a 300 game. He was a former member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Neosho and for a time, served in the capacity of Priest. He then was a member of the Anglican Church and served as a minister.
On August 20, 1961 in Pennsylvania, Orin and Frances L. Petika were united in marriage and Frances survives of the home.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by three sons, Orin Paul Trentham, III and wife, Kathleen of Joplin, Eric Gavin Trentham and wife, Kimberly of Centralia, Missouri and Trevor Todd Trentham of Neosho; six grandchildren, Orin Paul Trentham, IV, Michael Trentham, Karisha Mowdy, Kalyn Garrett, Kyler Trentham and Preston Trentham and four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a grandson, Karsen Trentham, his parents and sister, Betty Lou Nease.
A memorial visitation will be held on November 22, 2022 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Contributions in memory of Paul may be made to Faithful Friends, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, Missouri 64850.
