(From Midland Cremation Society)We are saddened to share that Allen B Summers passed away on Monday, June 5th. He was 75 years old. He passed at home with loved ones by his side.
Allen was born and raised in northern New Mexico but spent many years of his life living in various places around the country, from Florida, to Colorado, to Missouri, making friend and creating adventures the whole time.
He loved the beauty of nature, art, learning new things, the bigger questions of life, motorcycles, his country, and the beauty within people he met along the way. His natural propensity to live his principles, and desire to serve his country led him to join the Air Force and serve in the Vietnam War, for which we will be forever grateful.
He excelled at a handful of different careers throughout his life from sub-division development planner to telecom engineer. Always self-taught, and exceedingly dedicated to any job he took on.
Above all, Allen loved the people in his life, even if he did so in his own unique way (you all know what I’m talking about); we all knew a small part of this amazing man’s life. He was a kind, loving, honest, and a forever supportive father. He is survived by his son Wes, his sister Gayle and brother Stephen and his many nieces and nephews.
