(From McQueen Funeral Home)Carol Louise Scott, age 78, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her home.
She was born October 20, 1944 in Janesville, Wisconsin the daughter of Leo and Edith (Olin) Nehls. On June 10, 1995 she was united in marriage to Clarence “Bud” Scott, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Christina Houchin of Cloquet, Minnesota and Denise Rufer of Evansville, Wisconsin; three sons, Adam Patton of Phoenix, Arizona, Noah Scott and his wife Brittany of Springfield, Ohio and Tom Scott of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Kenny Nehls of Evansville, Wisconsin and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Jeffery; one brother, Leonerd Nehls and one sister-in-law, Barbara Nehls.
Carol grew up and attended school in Evansville, Wisconsin graduating from Evansville High School in 1963. She moved from Evansville to Rocky Comfort, Missouri in 1995.
Carol loved tending her flower beds. She enjoyed Native American beadwork, her cats, playing Mrs. Clause at sheltered workshops and the Body of Christ Out Reach Ministries and had served as the secretary for the Rocky Comfort Community Club.
Carol was very involved in the Body of Christ Out Reach Ministries in Wheaton, Missouri where she was a member and had volunteered at the food pantry since 1999. Most of all she loved the Lord.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Body of Christ Out Reach Ministries in Wheaton, Missouri. Pastor Gene Robinson and Larry Cooper will conduct the services. Burial will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Missouri. Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
