(From Rupp Funeral Home)Lora "Frances" Mooney, 78, of Amazonia, MO passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Amazonia, MO.
She was born December 17, 1944 in Fayette, AL, daughter of Margie and Austin Pendley.
Frances retired from the State Hospital in 1988, where she worked as a Certified Nurses Aide. She served many years volunteering for the Harvest House. She loved gardening and country music. She enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales. She was the rock of her family, especially through all the family hardships, she held everyone together.
Frances was preceded in death by father, Austin Pendley, mother, Margie Schnedler, daughter, Patricia "PJ" Stanton, sons, Willie and Billy Mooney, Sr., grandson, Billy Ray Mooney, Jr., brothers, James and Willie Pendley, and great-grandsons, Michael and Tristen Kerns.
Survivors include daughter, Lora Lee (Zead) Alladin of Grover Beach, CA, daughter-in-law, Beth Mooney, Amazonia, her dear friend, Jill Graf of Amazonia, sisters, Margaret (Thomas) Tabor of El Dorado Springs, MO, Polly (Thomas) Harman of Midland, TX, Brenda English of Lamar, MO and Ada May (Tommy) Richards of Lamar, MO, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Mooney has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Frances' home. The family wants to extend their gratitude for the care provided to and direct memorials to AseraCare Hospice.
